The China Association for Science and Technology has recently announced the selection results of the 2021 “Innovation China” lists. After initial and final evaluations, a total of 384 items were included in the seven lists including “List of Leading Technologies”, “List of Key Technologies”, and “List of Newly Emerged Enterprises”. Changsha has two technologies and two enterprises listed.
The List of Leading Technologies was formulated to select a group of technological achievements that represent the development trend of the industry; meet the needs of the industry; have pioneering and milestone significance, strong market driving force, and great commercial potential; can be transformed, transferred, and traded; and, play a leading role in the industry, in the six fields of electronic information, biomedicine, equipment manufacturing, advanced materials, resources and environment, and modern agriculture. Two key technologies from the Central South University and Hunan University were shortlisted for the list of leading technologies in the field resources and environment. They are: “key technologies of high-precision mineralization and separation of arsenic and alkali slag from non-ferrous smelting and resource utilization for pollution and carbon reduction” and “key technologies in the preparation of concrete materials and products by CO2 fixation”.
The List of Newly Emerged Enterprises aimed to select a group of small and medium-sized science and technology enterprises that are supported by scientific and technological innovation or business model innovation, have entered the initial stage of growth, and have made outstanding contributions to local areas, from the “Innovation China” pilot cities and industrial parks. The Hunan SpeedBot Robotics Co., Ltd. and Hunan Kylinsec Technology Co., Ltd, both based in Changsha, made the list.
