In 2021, the operating income of electronic information manufacturing enterprises above designated size in Hunan Province reached 359.24 billion yuan, an increase of 22.4%, according to the Hunan Provincial Department of Industry and Information Technology on February 11.

Hunan focuses on the goal of building a national-level electronic information industry cluster. The province’s electronic information manufacturing industry develops steadily and rapidly. Key enterprises such as Lens Technology, Anker Innovation, ZTE Intelligence, and Hunan Greatwall Technology Information maintained growth throughout the year. In 2021, Hunan had two new enterprises each valued at 10 billion yuan, bringing the total to 7. The growth rate of the value added in electronic information industrial enterprises above designated size reached 23.2%, ranking first among the province's 13 industrial sectors.

The momentum of industrial development has been continuously enhanced. Hunan's 32 key electronic information manufacturing projects have exceeded the annual investment targets, of which 23 projects have been put into production or partially put into production. The rapid advancement of key projects has driven the rapid growth of investment in the entire industry. The fixed-asset investment in computer, communications and other electronic equipment manufacturing industries grew 23%.

Efforts have been made to accelerate the development of brand advantages. In 2021, Hunan held the 2021 World Computing Conference, released a batch of intellectual achievements, and started 7 major computing projects with a total investment of 25.6 billion yuan. After 3 years of hard work, the brand effect of "one conference, one industry" is emerging. Hunan strives to team with ministerial organizations to promote the computing system with Feiteng CPU, Kunpeng CPU and Kylin operating system at the core to become the preferred technology route in the national information technology application and innovation industry. The National Third Generation Semiconductor Technology Innovation Center (Hunan) was approved. The Changsha Cyber ​​Security Research Institute and the Galaxy Video Technology Research Institute were established. IGBT and other power semiconductors, CPUs, operating systems, GPU chips, SSD main control chips, capacitors and other products have a leading market share at home and abroad.
