On February 8, the Changsha Economic and Technological Development Zone Talent Market launched its first large-scale on-site job fair for the Year of the Tiger. Sixty-eight enterprises including Sany, BROAD, Zoomlion, and Sunward, participated, providing more than 5,000 jobs. This showed the zone’s strong demand for workers.
Before the Spring Festival, the Changsha Economic and Technological Development Zone conducted a talent demand survey among enterprises. The demand information of more than 300 key enterprises at the zone were collected. The demand for overseas talents, middle and high-level talents, skilled personnel, graduates, and front-line workers were sorted into seven lists. According to the survey, about 28,500 talents are in demand in 2022, including 1,300 middle and high-level talents, 1,100 management talents, and 19,500 front-line workers.
To meet enterprises’ demand for labor, the zone’s bureau of human resources and social security seized the golden period of labor recruitment around the Spring Festival, and set up teams to assist enterprises in labor recruitment. Since January 20, the recruitment teams have been to Longshan, Sangzhi, Mayang, Zhijiang and other places to recruit workers. The recruitment campaign followed the principle of “customize policy for each enterprise, and send recruitment team to each township”, and offered “point-to-point pick-up and transfer” service to the recruited workers. On February 7, the first working day of the Chinese Lunar New Year, the recruitment teams held job fairs in places including Anhua, Cili, Yongshun, Baojing, and Yanling.
