China will celebrate the advent of spring in the lunar new year, the Year of the Tiger. On the morning of January 29, the CPC Hunan Provincial Committee and the People’s Government of Hunan Province hosted the 2022 Spring Festival Reception in Changsha.

Du Jiahao, deputy director of the Financial and Economic Committee of the National People’s Congress (NPC); Xu Dazhe, deputy director of the NPC Education, Science, Culture, and Health Committee; and, provincial leaders and veterans Li Weiwei, Zhu Guoxian, Yang Zhengwu, Chu Bo, Zhou Bohua, Wang Keying, Hu Biao, Wang Shuangquan , Li Dianxun, Wang Cheng, Wu Guiying, Sui Zhongcheng, Xie Weijiang, Wei Jianfeng, Yang Haodong, Zhang Yingchun, Nan Xiaogang, and Liu Lianyu, attended.

Persons present at the gathering also included: leaders at sub-provincial level and veterans; general secretaries and deputy general secretaries of the CPC Hunan Provincial Committee, the Standing Committee of the Hunan Provincial People's Congress, the People’s Government of Hunan Province, and the CPPCC Hunan Provincial Committee; persons in charge of some departments directly under the provincial government; heads of the Changsha Municipal People’s Government; persons in charge of some central units in Hunan Province; relevant officers of independent military units at regiment or above level stationed in Changsha; recipients of the “July 1st Medal”; some deputies to the National People’s Congress and members of the CPPCC National Committee in Changsha; heads of political parties, All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce, and Huangpu (Whampoa) Military Academy Alumni Association; prominent individuals without affiliation to any political party (non-affiliates) and representatives of new social classes; compatriots from Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan, overseas Chinese; representatives from ethnic groups and major religions, and of model workers, workers, farmers, armed police, families of martyrs, retired veterans, militia, firefighters and those engaged in science and technology, education, culture, health, sports, public security, and from private enterprises; and, persons in charge of some colleges and universities in Changsha.
