Zhang Qingwei was elected director of the Standing Committee of the Hunan Provincial People's Congress at the third plenary meeting of the Fifth Session of the 13th Hunan Provincial People's Congress. It was held at the People’s Hall of Hunan Province on January 19, 2022.

Zhang Qingwei, male, Han nationality, was born in November 1961. He obtains the postgraduate diploma and is a member of the Communist Party of China (CPC). He is now serving as a member of the 19th CPC Central Committee; secretary of the CPC Hunan Provincial Committee; director of the Standing Committee of the Hunan Provincial People's Congress; and, first secretary of the CPC Hunan Provincial Military Command Committee.
