Two-day On-site Project Observation Event Launched in Changsha

A two-day on-site project observation event themed strengthening the provincial capital and boosting industrial development was launched in Changsha on January 10. Wu Guiying, member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Hunan Provincial Committee and secretary of the CPC Changsha Municipal Committee, together with the leaders of districts, county and county-level cities, industrial parks, and municipal departments, participated.

During the event, Secretary Wu Guiying asked to thoroughly implement the spirits of the sixth plenary session of the 19th CPC Central Committee, the 12th CPC Hunan Provincial Congress and the 14th CPC Changsha Municipal Congress. She also calls on the whole city to focus on major project construction, implement the strategy of strengthening the provincial capital, and strive to ensure a good start in the first quarter of this year.

Zheng Jianxin, deputy secretary of the CPC Changsha Municipal Committee, mayor of Changsha, and secretary of the CPC Working Committee of the Hunan Xiangjiang New Area, was present.

Municipal leaders Kan Baoyong, Wen Shuxun, Chen Gang, Tan Yong, Hu Weibing, Feng Ziying, Peng Huasong, He Zhaohui, Luo Zuanji, Zhu Dongtie, Chen Peng, Liu Yongbing, and Zhang Min also participated.

Over the past year, a large number of projects had been launched and put into operation in advance,with resultsdelivered in an early manner. This laid a solid foundation for implementing the strategy of strengthening the provincial capital. Statistics showed that, Changshas 1,575 major projects achieved a total investment of more than 500 billion yuanin 2021, accounting for 127.8% of the annual plan.Among the newly-started 722 projects, 291 projects started construction ahead of schedule.
