The “Taste of Hunan” Hunan Cuisine Industry Innovation and Development Forum and the “Taste of Hunan” Gourmet Brand Launching Ceremony were held in Changsha on December 29, 2021. The “Taste of Hunan” brand lists of famous dishes, restaurants, chefs, and ingredients was publicized at the ceremony. The “Taste of Hunan” Gourmet Brand Marketing Alliance was also established. Hunan Vice Governor He Baoxiang attended the event.
Under the brand of “Taste of Hunan”, there were 30 gold, 70 silver, and 200 signature famous dishes; 30 gold and 70 silver famous restaurants; 30 gold and 70 silver famous chefs; and, 30 gold and 70 silver famous ingredients.
At the press conference, the “Taste of Hunan” Gourmet Brand Marketing Alliance was established. The alliance is jointly established by related Hunan provincial cuisine industry business associations, enterprises, news media, and scientific research institutes. At the forum, four masters including Wang Moquan, Master of Hunan Cuisine; Liu Guochu, president of the Hunan Provincial Catering Industry Association; Lin Shuwei, chef of the Hunan Satellite TV Variety Show “Chinese Restaurant”; and, Luo Dazhi, secretary general of the Hunan Cuisine Industry Promotion Association, made speeches and discussed how to better and innovatively develop the Hunan cuisine industry.
The “Taste of Hunan” gourmet season activities officially kicked off in this September, with the theme of “Thousands of Dishes in Hundreds of Counties Introduced to Millions of Families”. It aimed to discover delicious Hunan cuisine, publicize Hunan culture, strengthen the Hunan cuisine industry, and stimulate urban and rural consumption.
