The Hunan Pilot Free Trade Zone Changsha Area’s practice to advance the integrated development of the international mail, international express, and cross-border e-commerce business has been selected as a national case recently, according to the area’s management committee on December 27.
The case was published on the 25th edition of the State Council Inter-Ministerial Joint Conference for the Work on Free Trade Zones bulletin on December 24. It is the first state-level case made in the Hunan Pilot Free Trade Zone since the zone was approved on September 21, 2020.
The Changsha Area paid great attention to the international mail, international express, and cross-border e-commerce business, demands of enterprises, and industrial development. With the joint efforts of the Changsha Logistics and Port Office, the Changsha Area Airport Block, and the provincial and municipal departments of postal service, customs, and commerce, it took the lead nationwide in integrating the business, information and supervision systems of logistics, air and customs ports, offering one-stop customs clearance services for international mail, international express, and cross-border e-commerce. This has effectively promoted the agglomeration development of the cross-border e-commerce industry while reducing enterprise operating costs and improving regulatory efficiency.
