The opening ceremony for the first National Self-driving Club Conference, or the Hunan Self-driving Tour Development Conference, was held in Changsha on December 24. The Changsha Declaration on the Development of China's Self-driving Tour Industry was released. Qiu Xiaoping, vice chairman of the All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce (ACFIC) and member of its leading Party Members Group, delivered a speech via video link. He Baoxiang, vice governor of Hunan, announced the opening of the conference.

In recent years, self-driving tours have played an important role in effectively responding to the epidemic and accelerating the transformation and upgrading of the tourism industry. Hunan has become one of the most popular self-driving destinations. At the opening ceremony, the ACFIC Chamber of Commerce for Tourism industry promoted the country’s high-quality self-driving routes, and awarded plaques to 10 “strategic cooperative cities” including Huaihua.

The declaration called for further developing and increasing investment in self-driving tour leisure and vacation products, cultural experience products, supporting facilities for self-driving trips in recreational vehicles, and study tour routes. It also proposed to build and cultivate an industrial system based on integrity management, and jointly promote the prosperity and development of China's self-driving tour market.
