On the morning of December 20, the opening ceremony of the 2021 Hunan Sunshine Entertainment Festival and Changsha Experiential Activities were held in Changsha County. Wang Chaoxiang, a first-level inspector of the Hunan Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism, attended the opening ceremony and announced the opening of the event.
The opening ceremony closely followed the theme of "Sunshine Entertainment; Traveling in Hunan". The 2021 Hunan Cultural Tourism Electronic Consumer Map was released. The map covers some public spaces for food, accommodation, transportation, shopping, and entertainment throughout the province. Based on big data technology, it allows tourists to accurately locate cultural tourism destinations and consumption scenes. This greatly satisfies the diversified and personalized needs of citizens and tourists.
At the opening ceremony, representatives of the Comrade Mao Zedong Memorial Hall and the Yang Kaihui Memorial Hall signed a cooperation agreement on exchange of tourists. Representatives of the Hunan Travel Agency Association; the Culture, Sports and Tourism Bureau of Turpan City, Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region; and, the Tourism Development Bureau of Shannan City, Tibet Autonomous Region signed an agreement to promote winter tourism.
During the festival, a variety of theme activities will be held, including:
-- 2022 Hunan Cultural Tourism Market Consumption Improvement and Upgrade Development Forum;
-- 2022 Miss Tourism Culture World Hunan Division Finals and Hunan Cultural Tourism Ambassador Selection;
-- 2021 Sunshine Entertainment Festival Q Singer Contest and Hunan Cultural Tourism Market Revitalization Ambassador Selection; and,
-- Hunan B&B Consumption Trend Seminar and Changsha County Experiential Activities.
Serial activities will last till January 1, 2022 or the 2022 Spring Festival holiday which will start on January 31.
The events were co-sponsored by the Hunan Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism and the Changsha Municipal People's Government, and jointly hosted by the Changsha Municipal Culture, Tourism, Radio, Film and Television Bureau, the CPC Changsha County Committee, and the Changsha County People's Government.
