On December 17, the Hunan and Hubei Travel Agents Business Negotiation Conference was held in Wuhan, Hubei Province. It was hosted by the Hunan Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism. Cultural and tourism enterprises of Hunan and Hubei provinces signed strategic cooperation agreements on exchange of tourists to support the recovery of the cultural tourism market in the upcoming New Year. It aims to achieve 100,000 exchanges of tourists by 2022. More than 100 travel agents from the two provinces participated in the conference.

At the conference, Hunan’s travel agencies recommended the provincial representative tourist routes to Hubei travel agents. Hunan and Hubei travel agents would jointly develop products such as weekend trains and charter trains based on the results of the study on the preferences of tourists. Heads of the culture and tourism departments of the two provinces expressed that they will carry out close cooperation in brand building, resource integration, exchange of tourists, product integration, market expansion, and talent training, to jointly promote the high-quality development of cultural tourism of Hunan and Hubei.
