On December 16, Mao Weiming, deputy secretary of the CPC Hunan Provincial Committee and governor of Hunan Province, chaired a symposium to solicit opinions from academicians, experts, and entrepreneurs on the government work report.
On the morning of December 16, the Hunan government convened a symposium to listen to opinions and suggestions of some academicians, experts, and entrepreneurs on the “2022 Report of the Work of the People’s Government of Hunan Province (draft)”. Mao Weiming, deputy secretary of the CPC Hunan Provincial Committee and governor of Hunan Province, stressed the need to thoroughly study and implement the spirits of the Sixth Plenary Session of the 19th CPC Central Committee, the Central Economic Work Conference, and President Xi Jinping’s important speeches and instructions on Hunan; implement the decisions and plans of the 12th CPC Hunan Provincial Congress; give better play to the role of high-end think tanks and entrepreneurs; and, inject strong momentum into the construction of a new modern socialist Hunan.

At the symposium, representatives of academicians, experts, and entrepreneurs including Ding Rongjun, Luo An, Bai Lianyang, Jing Hui, Zhang Di, Li Hui, Ouyang Ji, Liang Wengen, Wang Ping, and Yang Yang put forwards suggestions on how to achieve sci-tech self-reliance and self-improvement at higher levels, build Hunan into a talent hub, promote high-quality development of traditional Chinese medicine, and improve business environment.
