Zhangjiajie Launches Winter Tourism Activities

The 2021 Zhangjiajie Winter Tourism Promotion Conference was held in Changsha on December 13th. Twelve theme activities and five incentives were announced.

Zhangjiajie organized six teams consisting of tourist enterprise representatives including travel agencies, scenic areas, and hotels to express gratitude to 12 other cities and one prefecture in Hunan for their aid in fighting against COVID-19. In addition, the city has sent out 39,000 packaged tickets covering scenic areas such as Wulingyuan, Tianmen Mountain, Grand Canyon, Maoyan River, Huanglong Cave, and Baofeng Lake.


The Zhangjiajie Bureau of Culture, Tourism, and Sports announced 12 theme activities, including:

-- The First Zhangjiajie Teenager Ice Carnival;

-- 2022 National New Year Mountain Climbing;

-- Short Video Contest on Douyin or TikTok; and,

-- Gannian or Tujia New Year Celebrations.

From December 1st, 2021, to February 28th, 2022 (not including the 2022 Spring Festival holiday), scenic spots in Zhangjiajie will offer discount tickets.

From December 1st, 2021 to February 28th, 2022 (not including the 2022 Spring Festival holiday), Zhangjiajie’s all national-level scenic spots and sightseeing buses inside (not including Wulingyuan Core Scenic Area) will offer a preferential policy of “buying one, getting one free” to group tourists organized by travel agencies to Zhangjiajie by air.  

From December 6th, 2021 to February 28th, 2022, tourists who take the Zhangjiajie-Jishou-Huaihua High-speed train to Zhangjiajie can enjoy half-price admission to Zhangjiajie’s national scenic spots and sightseeing buses within seven days after arriving at Zhangjiajie, by showing ID cards or household registration information and high-speed paper tickets.
