Mao Weiming, deputy secretary of the CPC Hunan Provincial Committee and governor of Hunan Province, presided over a symposium on the morning of December 14, 2021. He listened to the opinions and suggestions of some deputies to the Hunan Provincial People’s Congress and members of the CPPCC Hunan Provincial Committee on the “2022 Report of the Work of the People’s Government of Hunan Province (draft)”.
Governor Mao asked to thoroughly implement the spirits of the Sixth Plenary Session of the 19th CPC Central Committee, the Central Economic Work Conference, and President Xi Jinping’s important speeches and instructions on Hunan; fulfill the arrangements and requirements of the 12th CPC Hunan Provincial Congress; and, earnestly absorb and fully adopt the keen perspectives and insights of the deputies and members. This would make the report better implement the spirit of the central government, reflect the requirements of the times, build a broad consensus, and gather joint development efforts.
On December 14, Governor Mao chaired a symposium to solicit opinions from some provincial people’s congress deputies and provincial CPPCC committee members on the government work report.
Provincial leaders Li Dianxun and Xu Xianhui, and Secretary General Deng Qunce, attended.
Zhang Zuolin, Chen Laiman, Ling Yunjian, Zeng Wanhui, Liu Zhun, Bei Bing, Feng Jianghua, Liu Zuzhi, Zhong Gaoming, He Jiqing and other deputies and members gave speeches respectively. They offered suggestions and opinions on such issues as developing a strong education system that the people are satisfied with, breaking through the bottleneck of core technologies, sustaining farmers’ enthusiasm for grain production, connecting with and integrating into the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, promoting regional cooperation in the border areas of Hunan and Jiangxi, and optimizing business environment.
Governor Mao thanked deputies and members for their valuable ideas.
