On December 9, a weaver introduced traditional Dong weaving techniques and Dong brocade crafts to tourists in Wenpo Village, Yatunbao Town, Tongdao Dong Autonomous County. The Dong brocade is one of the famous brocades in China, with a history of more than 2,000 years. In 2008, it was listed as a national intangible cultural heritage. In recent years, local Dong women have innovated and developed ancient intangible heritage techniques, and created more than 10 kinds of Dong brocade products, such as pillows, handbags, and quilts. The products combine traditional approaches with new trends, and sell well in domestic and foreign markets. (Photo/Su Yiyong)
