A GS7985 flight, operated by the Tianjin Airlines, took off from the Changsha Huanghua International Airport on December 8th, and arrived at the Brussels International Airport in Belgium at around 22:30 Beijing time the same day. It marked a successful maiden flight of the Changsha-Brussels passenger-to-cargo chartered plane. More than 30 tons of general cargo were carried, including anti-epidemic supplies, express e-commerce goods, and auto parts.

The flight uses an Airbus A333 passenger-to-cargo aircraft, with a maximum load capacity of 45 tons. Three flights (on Monday, Thursday, and Saturday, respectively) are to be scheduled every week from December 8 to February 2022. After the flight, the cargo will be transported by truck to Germany, Switzerland, the Netherlands and other European countries.

Facing the grim and complex international epidemic situation, the Hunan Airport Industry Co., Ltd. Freight Service Branch has made all-out efforts to ensure the flight’s operation. It actively communicated and coordinated with the logistics port office, customs, exit and entry border inspection general station, and epidemic prevention and control headquarters, and joined them in the formulation of detailed plans for transport capacity allocation, agreement signing, risk control of cargo collection and transportation, and epidemic prevention and control.
