Zhongjun Research Institute, a national professional think tank and social organization on county economies, released the “2021 County-level Economy and Development Monitoring and Evaluation Report” on December 6, 2021. It announced the lists of the 21st National Top 100 Counties evaluated by basic competitiveness upon county-level economy, the Top 100 Counties and County-level Cities evaluated by county-level economy and comprehensive development, and the counties and county-level cities with high quality modernization development.
Changsha County and Liuyang County-level City ranked 5th and 10th among the National Top 100 Counties judged according to the index of basic competitiveness of the county-level economy. Ningxiang County-level City ranked 18th, 3 places higher than last year, and was successfully added into the national Top 20 list.
Among the Top 100 Counties and County-level Cities of the County-level Economy and Comprehensive Development, Changsha County ranked 3rd, Liuyang County-level City 8th, and Ningxiang County-level City 15th respectively.
The report also carried out monitoring and evaluation on the basic index of modernization development quality in the counties that meet the “basic conditions for affluent green vitality and sustainable development”, and selected the national A+ level superior-rank counties and county-level cities on the basic index of national county modernization development quality. Hunan had 6 counties and county-level cities on the list. They are Changsha County, Liuyang County-level City, Ningxiang County-level City, Liling County-level City, Shaodong County-level City, and Xiangtan County.
