The 2-day conference featured several sub-events such as the opening ceremony, thematic forum, summit forum, dialogue between county and district leaders, and the closing ceremony. The third batch of Hunan provincial ecological civilization construction model counties and cities and the 2021 Hunan ecological civilization construction typical cases were announced and awarded. The award-winning papers of the 7th Hunan Provincial Ecological Civilization Forum Liuyang Annual Conference were commended. The launching ceremony of regional ecological environment integrated cooperation in the border areas of Hunan and Jiangxi was held.
Chen Wenhao pointed out that departments at all levels throughout the province must unswervingly implement Xi Jinping Thought on Ecological Civilization, actively promote Hunan’s ecological civilization construction, adhere to the policy of “putting conservation and protection first, and mainly relying on the natural recovery of the environment”, and implement the fundamental national policy of conserving resources and protecting the environment. Efforts will be made to peak Carbon Dioxide Emissions, focus on environmental problems carried over from the past and key pollution treatment, and address ecological environment problems at the source through systematic and holistic approaches.
