The Changsha-Xiangtan Customized Intercity Bus Line, after consultation and arrangement by the transportation departments of Changsha City and Xiangtan City, officially opened on the morning of November 22, 2021. At the starting and terminal bus stop on Qingshui Road, Yuelu District, Changsha City, many citizens came to take a trial ride.
The bus line, with a total length of 41 kilometers, started from the starting and terminal bus stop on Qingshui Road, Yuelu District, Changsha City, and ended at the Xiangtan Comprehensive Bonded Zone starting and terminal bus stop. It has 31 bus stations, including Metro Line 3 and 4 Fubuhe station, Changsha University Town, Yanghu Wetland Park, Hunan Women’s and Children’s Hospital, Huayi Brothers Film Town, Xiangjiang College, Xiangtan North Station, Lens Technology, and Xiangtan University. The whole journey takes about 1 hour, which greatly facilitates the daily travel of the citizens of both cities. There are 10 new energy pure electric buses operated on the line, and the operating hours are from 7:00 to 19:00 every day.
This bus line will start trial operation for one month since November 22, and the free rides will be provided during the trial operation period. After the trial operation is over, it will be operated in a customized bus mode. The bus fare will be adjusted according to the locations: it will be 2 yuan when the bus travels in the urban area, and 4 yuan if it travels across districts (across Pingtang Avenue and Huaxi Road Intersection Station). The buses will depart at the given time as scheduled (average interval of 20 minutes). Passengers may purchase tickets online in advance through the mobile phone customized bus platform or scan the QR code on site to buy the tickets.
