Tourists made a mini snowman, making the scenic area more energetic and beautiful.

From the evening of November 21 to the early morning of November 22, Zhangjiajie City in Hunan Province saw its first snowfall of this winter. Footpaths, leaves, grasses, and peaks in Tianmen Mountain National Forest Park were all covered by thin snow, presenting a different kind of scenery.

Light Snow, or Xiaoxue in Chinese, is the 20th solar term on the traditional Chinese calendar, and it falls on November 22 this year. It lasts till December 6. As indicated by the name, the period refers to the time of year when the weather starts getting colder. Snow is usually light during this time period.

It signifies the arrival of piercing cold, a fall in precipitation and a rise in snowfalls. In this term, the growing cold air encourages the frequent northwestern wind in many parts of China.
