
The kindergarten launched a lion and dragon dance cultural class on that day. Folk performers were invited to teach kids to play lion and dragon dance, to enable them to experience the charm of such dance, and better their understanding of this traditional intangible cultural heritage.
Yaotianping Town is titled as a “Town of Chinese Folk Culture and Arts” for local traditional lion and dragon dance. In 2015, Yaotianping Dragon Dance was listed as a Hunan provincial-level intangible cultural heritage.
