Changsha Among China’s Top 10 Internet-famous Cities in 2021

On October 27, the 21st Century Business Herald and other units jointly released a list of China's top 100 Internet-famous cities in 2021. With its unique urban charm, consumption potential, economic vitality and comprehensive urban strength, Changsha made the top 10.

The list was based on 13 second-level indicators and 39 third-level indicators from five dimensions -- Internet popularity, urban vitality, fashionable life, industrial development and impression-based scoring. It provides a comprehensive perspective for studying urban influence and industrial layout.

Shanghai, Beijing, Hangzhou, Shenzhen, Guangzhou, Chengdu, Nanjing, Wuhan, Changsha and Xi'an ranked among the top 10 cities in terms of the Internet-famous index.

The ranking of “Internet-famous cities" this time has taken a city's attractiveness and competitiveness into account. Both online popularity and a comprehensive assessment of urban vitality were considered.

Changsha stood out in terms of many indexes. It ranked 9th in population attractiveness, 6th in industrial development, 7th in strategic emerging industry development, 7th in cultural and entertainment industry development, and among the top 20 in fashionable life.

In recent years, Changsha has followed a philosophy of people-oriented development, and made continuous efforts to beautify the city while enriching its connotation. It has been selected as the “National Civilized City” for 3 consecutive years, and one of the “Happiest Cities in China” for 13 consecutive years. It has also been rated as one of the “Most Satisfactory Cities for Foreign Investment” and “China’s Top 10 Better Life Cities”. Its popularity and reputation have been constantly improved. Nowadays, the vibrant city of Changsha, with its unique cultural environment and urban quality, has attracted visitors from all over the world.
