A symposium on the construction of Changsha International Cultural and Creative Center was held on October 26 afternoon. Wu Guiying, member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Hunan Provincial Committee and secretary of the CPC Changsha Municipal Committee, attended. She stressed that we should thoroughly implement the spirits of President Xi Jinping's important speech delivered at a ceremony marking the centenary of the CPC and his important speech made during his visit to Hunan, as well as his important statement on literary and artistic work. We should shoulder the mission of the times with courage; innovate and work energetically; and, be in line with world-class standards. She urged efforts to build Changsha into an international cultural and creative center with high quality, high standards and high level; and, enhance the city’s global influence, national competitiveness, regional leadership, and provincial influence, so as to write a brilliant cultural chapter for the comprehensive building of a modern new Changsha led by the Three Highlands and Four New Missions Strategy.

Tan Zhongchi, former vice chairman of the CPPCC Hunan Provincial Committee and former chairman of Hunan Federation of Literary and Art Circles; and, Changsha municipal leaders Chen Peng, Liu Yongbing, and Liu Mingli, attended.

At the symposium, representatives from the fields of literature and art, cultural creation, and cultural production including Tang Sulan, Peng Bo, Luo Hao, Wei Chunyu, Chen Jiangbo, Zhang Xiliang, and Tan Zhongchi made speeches. They exchanged ideas on literary and artistic creation, publishing media, red film and television culture, design creativity, and fireworks creative industry.
