Changsha Has 76 A-share Listed Companies

The Cofoe Medical Technology Co., Ltd. (Cofoe), a Changsha-based household medical device manufacturer, was officially listed on the Shenzhen Stock Exchange's board of growth enterprises, the ChiNext board on October 25 morning, under stock code 301087. This is Changsha's sixth newly-added A-share listed company this year, bringing the total number of A-share listed companies in the city to 76. In this regard, Changsha continued to lead cities in central China, and ranked fifth among provincial capital cities in China.

Shen Yumou, director of the Hunan Provincial Department of Commerce, and secretary of its leading Party members' group; Li Chiqun, director of the Hunan Medical Products Administration and first-class inspector of the Hunan Administration for Market Regulation; Xie Weidong, director of the Changsha Municipal People's Congress Standing Committee, and secretary of its leading Party members' group; Peng Tao, deputy director of the Hunan Provincial Department of Industry and Information Technology, and member of its leading Party members' group; and, Qiu Jixing, vice mayor of Changsha, attended the main venue event at the Shenzhen Stock Exchange or the sub-venue event in Changsha.

Cofoe is one of the leading enterprises in Hunan's artificial intelligence (AI) and sensor industry chain. In recent years, the industrial scale of the chain has been continuously expanded, innovation capacity enhanced, and industrial ecology optimized. Last year, the output value of core industries exceeded 10 billion yuan, up 30% year on year. The number of enterprises that combine AI with their main business has exceeded 4,000. The number of on-chain enterprises in Changsha has also increased from 514 in 2017 to 2,481 at present. AI industrial enterprises above designated size achieved a revenue of 9.68 billion yuan in the first half of this year, a year-on-year increase of 41.7%. Changsha has been approved as the pilot zone for new-generation AI innovation and development.
