Changsha-Zhuzhou-Xiangtan National Technical Standards Innovation Base Unveiled in Changsha

October 14, 2021 marked the 52nd World Standards Day. The Changsha-Zhuzhou-Xiangtan (CZT) National Technical Standards Innovation Base was unveiled at the Hunan Inspection and Testing Characteristic Industrial Park, Changsha that day. A plaque-awarding ceremony for 10 standards innovation centers was held simultaneously.

Li Ding, chief engineer of the Hunan Administration for Market Regulation; Gong Zhenxiang, vice chairman of the CPPCC Changsha Municipal Committee and chief of the Changsha Inspection and Testing Industrial Chain; and, Zhang Qinghe, vice chairman of the CPPCC Changsha Municipal Committee and director of the Changsha Administration for Market Regulation, attended.

The CZT National Technical Standards Innovation Base is one of the national standards innovation bases under the unified planning, layout and construction of the State Administration for Market Regulation and the Standardization Administration of China.

The base will center on the development needs of the CZT National Independent Innovation Demonstration Zone; gather technological advantages; integrate standardization policies, technologies and human resources; and, promote innovation in important technical standards, and standard market services, and advance the construction of standard systems. These efforts will provide strong technical support for the high-quality industrial development in Changsha, Zhuzhou and Xiangtan.

The standards innovation centers cover such industries as construction machinery and intelligent connected vehicles. They are the first batch of standards innovation centers set up by the Hunan Administration for Market Regulation. They will closely cooperate with the base to explore innovative mechanisms and modes, and play a leading and exemplary role in standards innovation.
