The 2021 Overseas Chinese Media Visiting Hunan was launched on October 11. Themed "Chasing Dreams in China, Happy Hunan", the six-day event was under the guidance of the All-China Federation of Returned Overseas Chinese (ACFROC) and hosted by the Hunan Federation of Returned Overseas Chinese.

A media group composed of more than 20 journalists from overseas Chinese-related central media and overseas Chinese media visited Changsha, Zhuzhou, Xiangtan, and Shaoyang cities. They learned about Hunan's economic, sci-tech, and cultural achievements, and promoted profound Hunan culture and natural scenery to the world.

Yesterday the media group visited Hunan Museum, Longping Rice Museum, and Malanshan Video Cultural Creative Industrial Park in Changsha, and participated in a promotion conference on Changsha's overall conditions. They learned more about Changsha via the tour and expressed their expectation of their following tours.

"Overseas Chinese media plays a bridging role in telling Chinese stories and enhancing overseas' understanding of China," said Wei Jiongcai, a member of the media group and deputy director of Chinese American Post. Wei hoped to strengthen understanding of Hunan's history, culture, and development achievements via the visit, and record what he saw and heard with lens and pens.

The "Chasing Dreams in China" publicity activity is part of ACFROC's brand events. It aims to tell China's stories well and make China's voice heard, promote China's stand, wisdom and approach, and present a true, multi-dimensional and panoramic view of China.
