The Chinese Young Pioneers (CYP), a national organization for Chinese children aged from age 6 to 14, greets its 72nd anniversary October 13, 2021. Several schools in Jiahe County launched celebrations on that day, to strengthen the young pioneers’ sense of honor, and inspire them to follow the Communist Party of China, and grow into young pioneer models in the new era. The Chinese Young Pioneers, founded on Oct 13 in 1949, is composed of juveniles from 6 to 14 years old, who often wear red scarfs to stand out among their peers. With the motto “Being Honest, Brave, Active and United”, the organization aims to educate teenagers to be outstanding future members of society, prepared for the construction of China's modernization.
