The 7th “Huxiang Cup” Cybersecurity Skill Competition was launched at Tianxin District, Changsha, on October 11, 2021. It was also a special event of Hunan to promote the annual China Cybersecurity Week.

This year’s theme is "Cybersecurity for People and by the People". The Hunan events are co-hosted by seven Hunan provincial authorities, including the Office of the Cyberspace Affairs Commission of the CPC Hunan Provincial Committee, Hunan Department of Education, Hunan Department of Public Security, and Hunan Federation of Trade Unions. The cyberspace affairs authorities of the CPC Changsha Municipal Committee and the CPC Tianxin District Committee undertook the events.

A variety of cybersecurity-themed programmes were staged at the launching ceremony, including songs and dances, sketches, and question and answer, to popularize cybersecurity knowledge to the audiences. “Huxiang Cup” cybersecurity emergency drill awards were granted to well-performed participators.

The 7th “Huxiang Cup” Cybersecurity Skill Competition, organized as a national-level competition, consists of online qualifications and on-site finals. Participators can register on the official website (hxb.hunan.gov.cn), between 12:00 on October 11 and 24:00 on November 11.

In the coming week, a series of cybersecurity publicity activities will be held in residential communities, rural areas, governmental organs, and schools around the province, to popularize cybersecurity knowledge and skills in common language, popular and people-oriented approaches.
