The China Research Institute of Development Strategy for Small-medium Cities (RIDS) released its research results on the high-quality development index of small-medium cities for 2021. Changsha County, Ningxiang City (county-level), Liuyang City (county-level), Liling City (county-level), and Changsha’s Yuhua, Yuelu, and Wangcheng districts, and Liuyang’s Yong’an Town, were on the list.
Changsha County maintained fifth place in China’s top 100 counties in terms of comprehensive strength. It ranked fourth among the top 100 counties with great investment potential, and sixth in terms of both green development and sci-tech innovation, with its indicators in various aspects leading the rankings in central and western China.
Liuyang, Ningxiang, and Liling cities respectively ranked 20th, 73rd, and 80th among the top 100 counties with the most comprehensive strength. Liling is at the 47th place in terms of sci-tech innovation, and 56th place in investment potential.
Among China’s top 100 districts with the most comprehensive strength, Changsha’s Yuhua, Yuelu, and Wangcheng district ranked 26th, 62nd, and 72nd respectively.
Liuyang’s Yong’an Town ranked 93rd among the top 100 towns in China.
