2021 China-Africa Private Sector Cooperation Forum Unveiled in Changsha

The 2021 China-Africa Private Sector Cooperation Forum opened in Changsha. Gao Yunlong, vice chairman of the CPPCC National Committee and chairman of the All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce, delivered a speech at the opening ceremony.

Mao Weiming, deputy secretary of the CPC Hunan Provincial Committee and governor of Hunan Province, made a speech at the opening ceremony.

The opening ceremony

On the afternoon of September 27, the 2021 China-Africa Private Sector Cooperation Forum kicked off in Changsha. It was jointly organized by the All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce and the People's Government of Hunan Province. Nearly 200 guests from home and abroad discussed and drew up plans together on the theme of “Opportunities and Challenges for China-Africa Private Economic Cooperation under the New Situation”. Gao Yunlong, vice chairman of the CPPCC National Committee and chairman of the All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce, gave a speech at the opening ceremony.

Mao Weiming, deputy secretary of the CPC Hunan Provincial Committee and governor of Hunan Province, attended and addressed the opening ceremony. Li Weiwei, chairwoman of the CPPCC Hunan Provincial Committee, attended.

The opening ceremony was presided over by Qiu Xiaoping, member of the CPC Leadership Group and vice chairman of the All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce. Baidy Agne, first vice chairman of the Senegal Economic, Social, and Environmental Council, made a speech via video link. Provincial leaders Huang Lanxiang and Zhang Jian, and Lin Yifu, member of the Standing Committee and deputy director of the Economic Committee of the CPPCC National Committee, attended.

At the opening ceremony, Wang Licheng, chairman of the China-Africa Business Council, made a presentation on the “Report on Chinese Enterprises Investing in Africa”. Lin Yifu; Rahamtalla Mohamed Osman, permanent representative of the African Union to China; Kipyego Cheluget, assistant secretary general of the Common Market for Eastern and Southern Africa; Yi Xiaogang, executive president of Sany Group; and, Domingo Mba Esono, vice minister of Commerce & SME Promotion of Equatorial Guinea, made keynote speeches.
