The Yangqiao-Qiaoyi Highway, also known as Qiaomi Highway, starts from the boundary of Changsha’s Wangcheng District and Yueyang’s Miluo City and ends at Furong North Road. It links to Miluo section of provincial highway S210 and Hangdian Avenue. With a total length of 7.959 km, the highway is constructed based on first-class standard. The width of the highway’s Yangchen Road section is 26 meters and that of Huangqiao Avenue section is 30 meters. With a design speed of 60 km/hour, the highway has a total investment of about 530 million yuan.

The highway is an important project of Hunan’s transportation development plan during the 13th Five-year Plan period. It meanders through Hongjia and Qunli villages in Qiaoyi Town, Wangcheng District. It is the first high-end intercity fast track connecting Changsha’s Wangcheng District with Yueyang’s Miluo City.

The opening of the Yangqiao-Qiaoyi Highway will help tackle regional traffic bottleneck, optimize road network, enhance functionality of regional transport, and effectively improve travel conditions. It will facilitate transportation in scenic spots such as Heimifeng Forest Park and the Former Residence of Revolutionary Martyr Zhou Bingwen, so as to promote tourism development in Wangcheng and accelerate urban-rural integration.
