On the afternoon of September 13, Xu Dazhe, secretary of the CPC Hunan Provincial Committee and director of the Standing Committee of the Hunan Provincial People's Congress, and Mao Weiming, deputy secretary of the CPC Hunan Provincial Committee and governor of Hunan Province, had a discussion with Zhu Hexin, secretary of the CPC Committee and chairman of the board of CITIC Group, and his party in Changsha.
Chen Fei, vice governor of Hunan Province and secretary of the CPC Committee of the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of Hunan Provincial People's Government, and Wang Guoquan and Fang Heying, deputy general managers of CITIC Group, attended.
Secretary Xu thanked CITIC Group for its long-term care and support for Hunan. He noted that in last September, President Xi Jinping inspected Hunan Province and set the goal of Hunan's building the "Three Highlands" and fulfilling the "Four New Missions". In the past year, we have been guided by the spirit of his important speech made when inspecting Hunan; accelerated the modern industrial system construction with advanced manufacturing as the main focus; used technological independence and self-reliance as the strategic support to give birth to the "new Changsha-Zhuzhou-Xiangtan independent innovation phenomenon"; pursued supply-side structural reform as our main task to further deepening reform in various fields; and, promoted institutional and high-level opening up with the Hunan Pilot Free Trade Zone construction as an important starting point. We have achieved fruitful results in strategic planning, leadership election, promoting development, and ensuring safety. The implementation of the Three Highlands and Four New Missions Strategy and the construction of a modern new Hunan have taken solid steps.
Xu believed that Hunan's reform and development of various undertakings is inseparable from the continuous participation and support of a large number of central enterprises including CITIC Group. He expected CITIC Group to continue to deepen pragmatic cooperation in such fields as seed industry innovation, medical and health, advanced manufacturing, and finance, based on the deep roots and solid foundation of cooperation with Hunan. We may keep expanding new collaboration fields, and achieve a higher level of mutual benefits and win-win results. This would assist Hunan's high-quality, stable, and long-term advancement, he added.
Chairman Zhu promised that CITIC Group will give full play to its advantages in the integration of industry and finance, and deepen cooperation with Hunan in such fields as financial services to the real economy, manufacturing transformation and upgrading, modern seed industry development, and healthcare service optimization. CITIC Group will continue to increase investment in Hunan; promote various cooperation projects to be put into production as soon as possible; and, contributed to the implementation of the Three Highlands and Four New Missions Strategy and the construction of a modern new Hunan.
