The Hunan Museum increases its daily visitor cap from 4,000 to 9,000 starting from Sept. 14 following an improvement in the COVID-19 epidemic situation, according to a newly released notice.

Visitors need to make real-name reservations online seven days in advance (excluding the reservation day) via the official website, app, and WeChat account of Hunan Museum.

Before entry, visitors are required to present confirmation messages, valid certificates, and green health QR codes. Visitors can visit permanent exhibitions and special exhibitions free of charge. Those without reservations are not allowed to enter.

The museum resumes the following services for the time being, including free regular guide services for two exhibitions of “The Mawangdui Han Dynasty Tombs in Changsha” and “Hunanese-Exhibition of Hunan History and Culture”, educational activities, VR digital experience, and multimedia equipment access.

In order to strictly implement epidemic prevention and control measures, guide services will be suspended or canceled when there is a large visitor flow.
