The 2021 National Science Popularization Day Changsha Main Event will be held at the Sasseur (Changsha) Outlets on September 16. There will be 6 theme exhibition areas and more than 10 experience areas. High-tech enterprises, science popularization venues and maker teams will be invited to display sci-tech innovation products and achievements. They will also hold maker experience activities, a 3D interactive exhibition, and a science popularization live-streaming event.

The interactive exhibition will use 3D printing and open source technology to display main events. A rumor-ending area will use modern technological means and field experiments to reveal pseudoscience. A “Curiosity Tour” interactive activity will enable visitors at different groups to experience VR, attend an aero model exhibition, and watch science popularization caravan exhibits. An achievements exhibition area will display cutting-edge scientific research achievements of high-tech enterprises such as Genetalks Biotechnology Co., Ltd, Beidou Industry Safety Technology Research Institute, and Tianyi Research Institute, and demonstrate Changsha’s pioneering spirit.

The main event will raise the curtain of National Science Popularization Day activities across the city. In mid-to-late September, various departments in the city will organize more than 80 colorful themed science popularization activities, with the participation of sci-tech workers and volunteers, science popularization workers, and people from all walks of life.
