Recently Fujian Province’s Putian City has reported locally transmitted confirmed cases of COVID-19. The Mid-Autumn Festival and National Day holiday are approaching. In order to consolidate what we have achieved so far in COVID-19 prevention and control, the Hunan Provincial Center for Disease Control and Prevention (Hunan CDC) gives the following suggestions to the general public:

1.Those who come or return to Hunan must voluntarily report personal travel history. Those who have traveled to or stayed in Fengting Town, Xianyou County, Putian City, Fujian Province, and those who came to Hunan from other parts of Xianyou County or other parts of Futian County since August 26 (including August 26), must inform your community (village) and company of the travel history and health condition, and cooperate with the local authorities on prevention and control measures.

2.Make proper travel arrangements. The general public must remain vigilant against the COVID-19 epidemic during the upcoming Mid-Autumn Festival and National Day holiday. Gatherings and parties will not be encouraged. Large gatherings are not allowed. People need to learn the risk levels of the destinations before travel and are urged not go to medium and high-risk areas for COVID-19 and epidemic-related areas unless it is necessary. Any travel or business trips to Putian City should be avoided recently if it is not necessary, otherwise please inform your community (village) and company and properly protect yourself during the whole trip. After the trip, please voluntarily report your community (village) and company and cooperate with epidemic prevention and control measures.

3.Please keep an eye on the Health Code of yours and your family members’. Once it turns red or yellow, please inform your community (village) immediately. While taking self-protection measures, you must cooperate with local disease control and protection institutions and communities on investigation and verification, nucleic acid testing, health monitoring, and centralized or home quarantine and other prevention and control measures.

4.Conduct health monitoring. Once symptoms such as fever, cough, fatigue, pharyngeal pain, reduced sense of taste and smell, and diarrhea occur, you should wear a mask and seek medical treatment at a nearby fever clinic in time. Please avoid taking public transportation when seeking treatment and truthfully report relevant travel and contact history.

5.Keep good personal hygiene and get vaccinated in time.
