On the morning of September 11, the Hubei-Hunan Cooperation, Development, and Exchange Symposium was held in Wuhan. Xu Dazhe, secretary of the CPC Hunan Provincial Committee and director of the Standing Committee of the Hunan Provincial People’s Congress, and Ying Yong, Xu’s counterpart in Hubei Province, attended and delivered speeches. Mao Weiming, deputy secretary of the CPC Hunan Provincial Committee and governor of Hunan Province, and Wang Zhonglin, Mao’s counterpart of Hubei Province, respectively introduced the economic and social development of the two provinces. Li Weiwei, chairwoman of the CPPCC Hunan Provincial Committee, and Huang Chuping, Li’s counterpart of Hubei Province, attended.

Hunan provincial leaders Wu Lan, Xie Jianhui, Wu Guiying, Liu Lianyu, and Chen Fei; Hubei provincial leaders Wang Ling, Erkenjiang Tulahong, Li Lecheng, Cao Guangjing, and Zhang Wenbing; and, Wuhan Mayor Cheng Yongwen, participated in the inspection tour or attended the symposium.

The Hunan delegation visited Wuhan East Lake High-tech Zone and Wuhan Economic and Technological Development Zone, and inspected Wuhan TCL China Star Optoelectronics Technology Co., Ltd., Donghu Science Town, Wuhan United Imaging Medical Technology Co., Ltd., Voyah Automotive Technology Co., Ltd., and Intelligent Power Technology Co., Ltd. there. They learned about the development of industrial park construction, technological innovation, intelligent manufacturing, and “optical, chip, screen, terminal, and network” industrial clusters. The delegation also took a boat to learn about the planning and construction of the “Two Rivers and Four Banks” and the improvement of urban quality in Wuhan.
