Hunan Enterprises Purchase Services Worth Nearly 39.5 Mln USD at CIFTIS

The 2021 China International Fair for Trade in Services (CIFTIS) concluded on September 7. As of September 6, eight Hunan enterprises had achieved procurement contracts worth nearly 39.5 million USD, a year-on-year increase of 125.34%.

The buyers were from construction, computer, information technology, and financial service businesses, and the procurement projects covered engineering technology upgrade, design, technological service, streaming right transfer, and supply chain service.

More than 10,000 enterprises from 153 countries and regions participated and showcased a number of digitalized hi-tech products. Seventeen Hunan enterprises participated in both online and offline modes.

At the award ceremony of the “Belt and Road” Cultural Creation Competition during CIFTIS, Hunanese artist Shu Yong was presented with a lifetime achievement award for his giant sculpture “Silk-Road on Golden Bridge”. The bridge was originated based on Zhaozhou Bridge, the world's oldest open-spandrel arch bridge in China. It was constructed with approximately 20,000 artificial amber bricks, embedded within were the floral emblems from countries and regions involved in the Belt and Road Initiative. It had been exhibited at the Belt and Road International Forum for International Cooperation, the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation, and the Conference on Dialogue of Asian Civilization.
