During the 24 hours of September 5, there were no new asymptomatic COVID-19 cases reported in Hunan. There were no asymptomatic cases re-categorized as confirmed ones. There was one new case out of quarantine (imported case). There were 5 people under medical observation (including 1 imported case). 

Between 0:00 on July 20 and 24:00 on September 5, a total of 113 confirmed COVID-19 cases (including 3 imported cases) had been reported in Hunan. There were 75 patients hospitalized, and 1 severe case. Thirty-eight patients were discharged from hospitals (including 3 imported cases). No people had died.

Since July 28 when the first asymptomatic case reported in Hunan, the number of days with no new confirmed and asymptomatic cases reported are: 36 days in Changde and Xiangxi; 35 days in Changsha; 33 days in Xiangtan; 32 days in Yiyang; 29 days in Zhuzhou; and, 21 days in Zhangjiajie.
