The information Office of the Hunan Provincial People’s Government held a press conference in Changsha on August 31. It announced that, the 2021, or the 6th, China International Food and Catering Expo will be held in Changsha between September 10 and 12.

The theme of the expo is “Promoting Consumption for Innovative Development”. The expo will have 10 professional exhibition areas, with an exhibition area totaling 80,000 square meters. Eighteen provinces, cities and municipalities will organize delegations to participate in the exhibition. Relevant institutions from Hong Kong and the Republic of Korea will also participate. More than 1,800 enterprises have confirmed their participation. In addition, the Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency (KOTRA) will hold a special promotion event during the expo.

The expo will adopt a “2+30” activity plan.

“2” refers to an expo tour and opening ceremony and an innovative development summit. Participants will discuss development trends of the food and catering industry, high-quality catering service supply, and innovative development of the catering supply chain.

“30” refers to 30 concurrent activities. They include professional forums, such as the 2nd China Catering Digital Development Conference; a symposium on catering industry management; a symposium on catering digital growth; and a forum on digital transformation of China’s food industry. Competitions will also be held such as a catering skills show, the China Barista Team Championship, and the Southwest China Final of the 2021 China Coffee Brewing Competition, to make the expo more interactive and interesting.
