During the 24 hours of August 31, there were no new asymptomatic COVID-19 cases reported in Hunan. There were no asymptomatic cases re-categorized as confirmed ones. There were 4 new cases out of quarantine (3 in Changde and 1 in Yiyang). There were 9 people under medical observation (including 3 imported cases). 

Between 0:00 on July 20 and 24:00 on August 31, a total of 113 confirmed COVID-19 cases (including 3 imported cases) had been reported in Hunan. There were 85 patients hospitalized, and 1 severe case. Twenty-eight patients were discharged from hospitals (including 3 imported cases). No people had died.

Since July 28 when the first asymptomatic case reported in Hunan, the number of days with no new confirmed and asymptomatic cases reported are: 31 days in Changde and Xiangxi; 30 days in Changsha; 28 days in Xiangtan; 27 days in Yiyang; 24 days in Zhuzhou; and, 16 days in Zhangjiajie.
