During the 24 hours of August 29, there were no new asymptomatic COVID-19 cases reported in Hunan. There were no asymptomatic cases re-categorized as confirmed ones. There was 1 new case out of quarantine (in Yiyang). There were 14 people under medical observation (including 3 imported cases). 

Between 0:00 on July 20 and 24:00 on August 29, a total of 113 confirmed COVID-19 cases (including 3 imported cases) had been reported in Hunan. There were 94 patients hospitalized (including 1 imported case), and 1 severe case. Nineteen patients were discharged from hospitals (including 2 imported cases). No people had died.

Since July 28 when the first asymptomatic case reported in Hunan, the number of days with no new confirmed and asymptomatic cases reported are: 29 days in Changde and Xiangxi; 28 days in Changsha; 26 days in Xiangtan; 25 days in Yiyang; 22 days in Zhuzhou; and, 14 days in Zhangjiajie.
