It was announced on August 26 that Zhangjiajie Wulingyuan Core Scenic Area, Tianmen Mountain Scenic Area, and Zhangjiajie Grand Canyon have met the requirements for reopening after a critical assessment. The three scenic areas reopen to the public on August 27.
From August 27 to September 30, Zhangjiajie’s A-level scenic areas and sightseeing buses inside will offer half-price tickets to tourists.
Zhangjiajie will subsidize flights to spur tourism market. Flights that will be resumed between September 1 and 30 will be subsidized appropriately. A reward will be given to special tourist trains. Scenic areas are encouraged to take measures to support travel agencies. A variety of tourism marketing activities will be held, including the 3rd Online Influencer Livestreaming Tourism Festival, the 2021 National Self-drive Club Conference and Hunan Self-drive Tourism Development Conference, Marathon around Tianmen Mountain, the 5th China Zhangjiajie International Tourism Poetry Festival, National New Year Mountain Climbing Festival, and Zhangjiajie Tourism Industry Vocational Skills Competition.
