On August 23, a large-diameter shield machine with a cutter head painted with a lion pattern rolled off the assembly line at the First Changsha Industrial Park, China Railway Construction Heavy Industry Corporation Limited (CRCHI). It has an excavation diameter of 13.42 meters, a total length of 130 meters, and a total weight of 3800 tons. It will participate in the construction of the Pearl River Mouth Tunnel Project of the Shenzhen-Jiangmen Railway, the deepest subsea tunnel in China.
