
The Changsha Disease Control and Prevention Center announced on August 24 that, more than 15 million doses of COVID-19 vaccines had been administered in Changsha as of midnight on August 23. A total of 7,987,200 people had received the first dose, and 6,003,000 people had been fully vaccinated.
According to the unified deployment and arrangement of COVID-19 vaccination, Changsha was scheduled to mainly administer the first dose of COVID-19 vaccine to people aged 12 and above in August. As of midnight on August 23, the completion rate of the first dose was 61.4% for the population aged 60 and above in Changsha. About 84.0% of the population aged 18 to 59 were administered with the first dose. For the population aged 12 to 17, the completion rate of the first dose was 100.00%.
In order to vaccinate the whole population as soon as possible, the staff of all streets and communities or villages in Changsha are carrying out a comprehensive survey by means of follow-up phone calls, household visits, and “two codes (health QR code and travel history code)” joint inspections in key venues.
