The Hunan Development and Reform Commission recently gave an official reply to the feasibility study report, and approved the construction the Changsha Metro Line 7 Phase Ⅰ Project – the section between Yuntang Station and Wulipai Station. The scheduled construction period is 72 months.
The Metro Line 7 Phase Ⅰ will be located in the east bank of the Xiangjiang River. It will start from Yuntang Station, and end at Wulipai Station. With a total length of 17.308 km, it will run underground through the whole course. There will be 16 stations along the line, including 9 transfer stations.
The 16 stations are: Yuntang; Huanbao Avenue; Wanfu South Road; South Bus Station; Red Star Market; Zhengtangpo; Jingwanzi; Ling Ke Da (Central South University of Forestry and Technology); East Tiedao Xueyuan (Central South University Railway Campus); Yuhuating; Shazitang; Dongtang; Chengnan Road; Yaoling; Yuanjialing; and, Wulipai.
The estimated engineering cost is 16.559 billion CNY, among which 301 million CNY will be used in the construction of the Metro Line 8 Red Star Market Station, and Shaoshan Road renovation project.
