During the 24 hours of August 18, there were no new confirmed COVID-19 cases reported in Hunan.  

During the 24 hours of August 18, there were no new asymptomatic COVID-19 cases reported in Hunan. There were no asymptomatic cases re-categorized as confirmed ones. There were no new cases out of quarantine. There were 19 people under medical observation (including 3 imported cases). 

Between 0:00 on July 20 and 24:00 on August 18, a total of 113 confirmed COVID-19 cases (including 3 imported cases) had been reported in Hunan. There were 104 patients hospitalized (including 1 imported case), and 3 severe cases. Nine patients were discharged from hospitals (including 2 imported cases). No people had died. 

Since July 28 when the first asymptomatic case reported in Hunan, the number of days with no new confirmed and asymptomatic cases reported are: 18 days in Changde and Xiangxi; 17 days in Changsha; 15 days in Xiangtan; 14 days in Yiyang; 11 days in Zhuzhou; and, 3 days in Zhangjiajie.
