Hunan Museum
In view of the improved epidemic situation in Hunan Province, the Hunan Museum reopens to the public starting from August 18, 2021.
Opening hours:
Tuesday to Sunday; 9:00—17:00 (last entry at 16:00)
Closed on Mondays except national statutory holidays.
How to Visit:
1. During the epidemic period, the museum only accepts online real-name reservation, with a daily limit of 4,000 visitors (including temporary exhibitions).
2. You can log on to the museum’s official website or WeChat official account 7 days in advance (excluding the reservation day) to make a reservation.
3. The initial ticket release time of the day has been adjusted to 20:00 every day to facilitate reservation.
4. After the reservation is successful, you will receive a confirmation message. You can visit the museum with this message, valid identity certificates and a qualified health QR code. Those who do not wear masks, do not make an appointment, or have symptoms such as fever (body temperature ≥37.3°C) and cough will not be allowed to enter the museum.
Opening areas and service adjustments:
During the epidemic period, the museum’s VR digital experience hall and multimedia equipment at the exhibition halls are temporarily closed. Services such as team reservation, parking, guide service and educational activities are not available. You can use the self-service guide service on the museum’s official APP and WeChat account.

Hunan Library
The Hunan Library resumes full operation starting from August 18, 2021. All service windows are open normally.
Opening hours:
Tuesday to Sunday; 8:30 -18:00 (including self-study rooms); closed on Mondays.
The ancient books reading room on the fourth floor is closed on Sundays.
