The 2nd China-Africa Economic and Trade Expo will open next month.

The Changsha Gaoqiao Grand Market, the only branch venue of the expo, will have six exhibition areas in its China-Africa Economic and Trade Cooperation Promotion and Innovation Demonstration Park, which will be a brand-new exhibition and promotion platform for the expo.

On August 12, Hunan Vice Governor He Baoxiang inspected the exhibition areas in the Gaoqiao Market.

The six exhibition areas will be permanent parts of the expo, and consist of five featured zones respectively displaying coffee, nuts, cocoa, agricultural and sideline products, and Hunan’s specialty for export. There will be 425 booths for governments, institutions, organizations, and enterprises, to showcase construction progresses of the China-Africa Economic and Trade In-depth Cooperation Pilot Zone and the achievements of promoting non-resource product trade with African countries.

The permanent exhibition hall will make a debut during the expo. Covering a total area of 12,000 sqm, it has one comprehensive pavilion, 37 countries’ pavilions, and two themed pavilions – respectively for the China-Africa Economic and Trade In-depth Cooperation Pilot Zone, and dual circulation and industrial and trade integration. Specialty products, advanced industrial, national culture, and cooperation cases in African countries will be displayed on a long-term basis. So far, 17 countries’ pavilions have been set up, and 10 African countries’ embassies and consulates in China promised to participate in pavilion operation.

The trade channels of the Gaoqiao Market will participate in promoting African products in an all-round way, such as live streaming promotion, and promotion fair of Hunan products exported to Africa. Products of 100 African brands will enter market before the expo.

Vice Governor He also went to the Changsha International Convention and Exhibition Center and the Changsha International Conference Center, to inspect the main exhibition hall and main venue of the expo.
