During the 24 hours of August 5, there was one new asymptomatic COVID-19 case reported in Hunan (in Zhuzhou). There was one new case out of quarantine (imported case). There were 32 people under medical observation (including 8 imported cases).

Between 0:00 on July 20 and 24:00 on August 5, a total of 61 COVID-19 confirmed cases (3 imported cases) had been reported in Hunan. There were 60 patients hospitalized (including 2 imported cases), and three severe cases. One patient was discharged from hospital (imported case). No people had died.
