During the 24 hours of August 1, Hunan reported seven new confirmed COVID-19 cases. Three are in Zhuzhou, three in Zhangjiajie, and one in Yiyang.

During the 24 hours of August 1, there were 11 new asymptomatic COVID-19 cases reported in Hunan: one in Changsha; six in Zhuzhou; one in Zhangjiajie; and, three in Yiyang. There were three new asymptomatic cases re-categorized as confirmed ones (in Zhuzhou). There was one new case out of quarantine. There were 36 people under medical observation (including 9 imported cases).

Between 0:00 on July 20 and 24:00 on August 1, a total of 22 COVID-19 confirmed cases (3 imported cases) had been reported in Hunan. There were 22 patients hospitalized (including 3 imported cases), and no severe cases. No people had died.
